1. 1. Optics and Spectroscopy of Scattering Objects

  • Investigating the scattering and absorption of optical radiation in various media (biomedical objects, rough surfaces, colloid solutions, photomaterials, lacquer coating) in the wide spectral range from 0.2 to 15 µm.
  • Elaborating optical techniques of experimental determination of main optical and spectroscopic parameters of the above mentioned objects as well as the methods of diagnostics of pathological states of biomedical tissues and human organs.
  • Photo-luminescent techniques of bio-objects diagnostics.
  • Establishing the mechanisms of energy-information interrelation of complex biosystems of scattering media.
  • Computer modeling of optical characteristics and properties of Photographic materials and lacquer coating layers.
  • Optical metrology.
  • Fourier-spectroscopy.
 
 

2. Spectropolarimetry of Optically Inhomogeneous Structures

  • Investigating the phenomena of linear and circular dichroism in biomedical structures in ultraviolet and visible parts of spectrum. Stokes-polarimetry of scattering objects of organic and inorganic origin.
  • Laser polarimetry of phase-inhomogeneous objects and media.
  • Elaborating the techniques of spectro-photo-polarimetric and laser-polarimetric diagnostics of pathological changes in human body tissues.

3. Optical Properties of Crystalline Structures and Condensed Media

  • Optical bistability and multistability of various type of crystals, non-linear optical phenomena in condensed media.
  • Optical and polarization properties of layered semiconductors.
  • Optoelectronic properties of ion-etched surfaces of crystals.
